The Beach Train travels along the eastern coast through areas such as Mipo, Cheongsapo and Songjeong.
There is also the colorful Sky Capsule, which has become especially popular with travelers looking for beautiful coastal views and memorable photographs.
One of the easiest ways to visit is to combine Blueline Park with Haeundae Beach on the same day.

🎨 4. Gamcheon Culture Village — Colorful Busan on the Hillside
Busan is not only about beaches.

The neighborhood also carries an important part of Busan’s modern history. The area became home to many refugees during and after the Korean War and was later transformed through community art projects.
Today, it is one of Busan’s best-known cultural attractions.
However, remember that people still live here. Keep noise down, avoid entering private property and respect residents while taking photographs.
Comfortable shoes are highly recommended. Busan’s beautiful hillside scenery comes with actual hills!

🌊 5. Huinnyeoul Culture Village — Find the Sea at the End of an Alley
If you love quiet streets, steep cliffs and wide ocean views, Huinnyeoul Culture Village in Yeongdo is worth adding to your Busan trip.
Small houses and narrow lanes sit above the coastline, while cafés and walking paths overlook the open sea.
Compared with the modern skyline around Haeundae, this part of Busan feels slower, smaller and more intimate.
It is especially beautiful when you walk through one of the village alleys and suddenly see the blue ocean appear between the buildings.
Huinnyeoul also works well together with the Nampo-dong and Jagalchi areas, so consider visiting them on the same day instead of traveling back and forth to eastern Busan.

Yeongdo does not have a subway line running directly through the island. Visitors generally travel from the central Busan or Nampo-dong area by bus or taxi.

Here is one tip that may save you more time than any individual sightseeing recommendation:
Do not choose attractions only because they look beautiful. Check where they are on the map first.
Busan is spread across a long coastal area, and traveling from one side of the city to another can take much longer than first-time visitors expect.
Instead, group nearby attractions together.

Haeundae Beach → Blueline Park → Cheongsapo → Gwangalli Beach at Night
🎨 DAY 2 — Old & Coastal Busan
Gamcheon Culture Village → Nampo-dong / Jagalchi → Yeongdo → Huinnyeoul Culture Village
This is much more comfortable than jumping between eastern and western Busan several times in one day.
💳 Getting Around Busan
Busan has a convenient subway and bus network, and most major tourist areas can be reached by public transportation.
If you already have a Korean transportation card such as T-money, you can also use it in Busan.
For buses and walking directions, using a Korean navigation app can be helpful. Google Maps is useful for checking locations, while local map apps may provide more detailed public transportation information inside Korea.
Do not rule out taxis either. For short connections — especially when two or three people are traveling together — a taxi can sometimes save a surprising amount of time.

If you only have one full day in Busan, do not try to visit every famous attraction.

Busan is often introduced simply as “Korea’s beach city,” but that description does not quite capture it.
There are modern skyscrapers beside the ocean, old neighborhoods climbing steep hills, colorful villages, traditional markets, fishing ports and quiet coastal paths — all within the same city.
For your first visit, you do not need to see everything.
Walk along Haeundae. Ride beside the sea. Watch Gwangandaegyo Bridge light up after sunset. Wander through an old hillside neighborhood. And find somewhere overlooking the ocean to sit for a while.
Busan is not a city you need to complete like a checklist.
Sometimes the best part of visiting Busan is simply finding the sea at the end of a street.
